Who we are

FinChat Hub is a financial-service discovery, qualification and lead-routing platform serving Botswana and Zambia. We help people begin loan, insurance and investment enquiries on WhatsApp and connect them with relevant, independent financial-service providers. This policy explains what information we collect through our website and WhatsApp conversations, and how we use it.

What we collect

When you start or continue a conversation with FinChat Hub on WhatsApp, we collect the information you choose to share — for example your name, phone number, the type of financial product you are asking about, and details relevant to that enquiry (such as an amount, income range, employment status or location). We also collect basic, aggregated website usage data through analytics tools.

How we use it

We use the information you share to understand and structure your enquiry, and — with your consent — to route it to a relevant, independent, licensed financial-service provider who may be able to help. We do not sell your information.

Who we share it with

We share your enquiry details only with the specific financial-service partner relevant to that enquiry, so they can follow up with you directly. Those partners are independent businesses responsible for their own use of your information under their own privacy terms — please review those before proceeding with an application. Separately, WhatsApp (operated by Meta) processes your messages as the messaging platform, under its own privacy policy, independently of FinChat Hub.

Consent and choice

By starting a conversation and continuing to share information with FinChat Hub, you consent to us structuring and forwarding your enquiry to a relevant partner. You can stop sharing information or end the conversation at any time, and you should only ever share information you are comfortable providing.

How long we keep it

We retain enquiry information only for as long as necessary to process your enquiry and meet reasonable record-keeping and legal obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@finchathub.com. Depending on your location, you may have further rights under Botswana’s Data Protection Act or Zambia’s Data Protection Act.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold, but no method of storage or transmission over the internet or WhatsApp is completely secure.

Children

FinChat Hub is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
