In short. FinChat Hub helps you start an enquiry for a loan, insurance or an investment on WhatsApp and, with your agreement, passes it to a participating provider. We are not a bank, lender, insurer or investment manager, and we do not give financial advice. Any figure we show is an estimate, not an offer. The provider makes every decision. Using FinChat Hub is free.
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of the website finchathub.com and the FinChat Hub WhatsApp enquiry service (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Effective date: 15 September 2026.
1. What FinChat Hub is
FinChat Hub is an enquiry and referral service. We ask you questions about what you need, organise your answers into an enquiry, and, if you agree, refer that enquiry to a participating financial service provider (a "Provider").
FinChat Hub is not a bank, lender, insurer, investment manager or financial adviser. We do not lend money, issue insurance policies, manage investments or hold your money. Nothing on the Service is financial, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation that any product is suitable for you. You should consider your own circumstances, and seek independent advice where appropriate, before taking up any financial product.
2. Who can use the Service
You may use the Service if you are at least 18 years old, are legally able to enter into agreements, and are located in Botswana or Zambia. You must only submit an enquiry for yourself, or for a business you are authorised to act for.
3. How the Service works
- You choose your country and start a WhatsApp conversation with us.
- You answer a series of questions. The questions depend on your earlier answers.
- Where relevant, we show you an indicative figure based on your answers.
- We ask whether you agree to your enquiry being referred to a Provider. Nothing is shared with a Provider unless you agree.
- If you agree, the Provider may contact you directly. Any application, assessment, offer or contract is between you and that Provider.
We cannot promise that a Provider will be available for every enquiry, that a Provider will contact you within a particular time, or that you will qualify for any product.
4. Indicative figures are not offers
Repayment estimates and other figures shown on the website, in the demo or in the WhatsApp conversation are illustrations only. They are calculated from the information you provide using an illustrative rate. They are not approvals, offers, quotes or guarantees of pricing, returns, cover or eligibility. The actual rate, terms, fees, cover and outcome are set by the Provider, subject to its own assessment.
5. Your responsibilities
When using the Service, you agree to:
- give information that is true, accurate and up to date;
- only give information about another person if you have their permission;
- not use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or misleading;
- not impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity, income or circumstances;
- not interfere with the Service, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or use automated tools to scrape or flood it; and
- treat our team respectfully in the conversation.
We may pause or end your access to the Service if you break these Terms.
6. Participating Providers
Providers are independent businesses. They are responsible for their own products, assessments, decisions, pricing, disclosures and customer service, and for holding any licences they need. Your relationship with a Provider is governed by the Provider's own terms and privacy notice.
We do not control Providers and are not responsible for their products, decisions or conduct. If you have a complaint about a financial product, please raise it with the Provider first. Providers are regulated by the relevant authorities in their country, such as the Bank of Botswana or the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority in Botswana, and the Bank of Zambia, the Pensions and Insurance Authority or the Securities and Exchange Commission in Zambia.
7. Cost of the Service and how we are paid
Using FinChat Hub is free for you. Your mobile network's normal data charges apply when you use WhatsApp or visit our website.
FinChat Hub may receive a fee from Providers for enquiries or referrals. You are never charged by FinChat Hub for using the Service.
8. WhatsApp
The conversation takes place on WhatsApp, a service provided by Meta. Your use of WhatsApp is also subject to WhatsApp's own terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the availability or security of WhatsApp itself.
9. Messages and opting out
By starting a conversation with us, you agree that we may reply to you on WhatsApp about your enquiry. We will only send you marketing messages if you ask to receive them. You can reply STOP at any time and we will stop messaging you.
10. Your personal data
We handle your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, in line with the Data Protection Act, 2024 of Botswana and, for users in Zambia, the Data Protection Act No. 3 of 2021 of Zambia.
11. Intellectual property
The FinChat Hub name, logo, website, question flows, text and design belong to FinChat Hub or its licensors. You may use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce or reuse any part of it for commercial purposes without our written permission.
12. Availability and changes to the Service
We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the Service, including the products, Providers or countries we cover.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- the Service is provided "as is", and we do not give any warranty that it will meet your needs;
- we are not liable for any decision made by a Provider, including a decision to decline your application, or for the terms, performance or suitability of any financial product;
- we are not liable for any loss arising from inaccurate information you give us, or from your reliance on an indicative figure; and
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business or opportunity.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, or any rights you have under consumer protection laws in Botswana or Zambia.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Botswana, and the courts of Botswana have jurisdiction. If you live in Zambia, you also keep the protection of any mandatory laws of Zambia that apply to you, and you may bring proceedings in Zambia where the law allows. Before starting any formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve the matter informally.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when they last changed. If you continue to use the Service after a change, the revised Terms will apply.
